Cities are the solution. The role of cities in tourism scenarios after the pandemic

In Italian

What role will increasingly globalized cities play in the immediate future after the pandemic? This is suggested by the results of an international research on 20 cities that involved mayors, urban planners, sociologists and economists, highlighting an increasingly digitalized and global scenario on the one hand and, on the other, a local one.

So, can the city really be the answer for the future after Covid-19, despite the growing relocation phenomena such as "city quitting"? What are the tourist prospects for the urban destinations in this scenario? How to maintain – or recover – tourist attractiveness? And what does it mean for an urban destination to “be attractive” for tourism today?

Are "Cities really the solution", as the title of the book by Simone D’Antonio and Paolo Testa suggests?
