Tourism: Focus on Sustainability
Two keynote speakers will be investigating the demand for sustainable tourism from different points of view and will highlight its complementary aspects.
Google – Sustainable tourism and the key role of food and wine experiences.
The concept of sustainable tourism is becoming more and more present in the minds of travellers, and the pandemic has accelerated this trend even more. For example, a trend towards more and more domestic travel searches continues to be noted, despite the fact that restrictions and health risks are now sharply decreasing. In this context in Italy, the search for local experiences related to food & wine is growing ever more increasingly, especially in those historical areas of our territory linked to this sector.
PSOS – Food and wine tourism: The sustainable relaunch of Italy.
The pandemic has generated a collapse in world tourism which is only now beginning to show the first timid signs of recovery, still strongly linked to domestic tourism. The food and wine offer represents one of the main reasons for choosing a tourist destination which, for Italians on the one hand and for Italy on the other, has proved to be a precious asset, seasonally adjusted and relevant to any type of holiday, be it maritime, mountain, cultural, etc. Italy’s tourist vocation generates numerous expectations regarding the relaunching of the country, and for this reason we will be looking carefully at the resources of the PNRR (Recovery and Resilience Plan), to be allocated to the sustainable transition of which the agro-food chain will be a crucial link and a privileged witness to the seriousness of Italy’s commitment.
At the end of the two speeches we will comment on the data in a panel discussion.
