Person in charge of the research area at CISET, International Center for Studies on Tourist Economy, founded by the Ca ‘Foscari University of Venice and the Veneto Region.
She has 25 years of experience in the field of research, consultancy and training on issues regarding tourism, and has worked in various projects on behalf of national and international organizations (ISTAT, EUROSTAT, European Commission, UNWTO, OECD, etc.).
Among her main areas of interest: market intelligence; impact of technological innovation on tourism; assessment of the socio-economic impact of tourism and the conditions of sustainability of/ responsibility for the phenomenon; development of strategies and policies for the territory and the destination.
Valeria Minghetti has been a member of the Steering Committee of IFITT – International Federation for Information Technology and Travel & Tourism (www.ifitt.org).
She is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of ENTER (www.ifitt.org/enter) and of the editorial committee of JITT (Journal of Information Technology and Tourism).
She is also reviewer for several international scientific journals (Journal of Information Technology in Hospitality, International Journal of Tourism Research, Tourism Review, Current Issues in Tourism, Annals of Tourism Research, Alma Tourism, etc.).
