Roberto Micera is Assistant Professor in Economics and Business Management at the University of Basilicata. He is Senior Researcher at the National Research Council of the Institute of Mediterranean Studies, currently on leave.
PhD in Business Sciences at the Federico II University of Naples, he obtained a Master’s degree in the Economics of Tourism from the Luigi Bocconi University and was a visiting scholar at the Fisher College of Ohio State University in 2018.
He was scientific director of research projects on tourism for the CNR and is on the team of numerous international and national research activities regarding the management and organization of innovation in the field of tourism businesses and destinations (smart tourism destination).
From 2016 to 2019 he was editor of the Italian Tourism Report. He is a member of the editorial board and reviewer of some of the main scientific journals of management and tourism management.
He has also held numerous positions in the tourism sector and in business management, collaborating with local businesses, organizations, associations and tour operators.
