Consigliera Ministro Dario Franceschini
OTTAVIA RICCI, a resident of Berlin since 2009.
I have been working in the field of sustainability since 2000, in London at "From Somewhere", a company that carried out fashion recycling by reusing cashmere and other materials.
In Italy I worked 4 years in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (as a pioneer) for a project of the Ministry of Labor.
In 2004 I discovered Sextantio Albergo Diffuso that protects a heritage that is too often forgotten and at risk of abandonment, www.sextantio.it. In Berlin (2013) I founded Italien Öko Reisen – Italy Sustainable Travel, for the promotion of sustainable Italy. From 2014 to 2018 I worked for Dario Franceschini, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, as Advisor for sustainable tourism.
From 2018 to 2020 I was Director of the Italian Tourist Office in the Italian Embassy in Berlin. Starting from 2021 I am again an Advisor to Minister Franceschini for Local Heritage and, together with other partners, we are giving life to a new project, Sustainable Europe.
I teach innovation and sustainability in tourism (design, communication and promotion) at various Italian universities and I lead Laboratori di Design Thinking (Workshops on Design Thinking).
