Researcher in economic statistics with a focus on new forms and measures of poverty, he offers his technical skills as a support to the research work of various institutes in construction, tourism, social studies and corporate well-being. Consultant for regions, administrations, associations and companies.
He deals with market analysis, sample surveys, feasibility studies, Customer Satisfaction, observers and monitoring for various sectors and territories. He designs and builds functional and forecasting econometric models. He experiments with forms of research in which statistics are pushed beyond the boundaries of their instrumental role, integrating and orienting the same design action. He contributes to creating a flexible model of social research that supports the work of decision-makers, providing them with the citizens’ point of view based on the construction of dynamic multisectoral profiles of population segments. He has experimented with innovative approaches and interpretative models for well-being and quality of life indicators since "Piccola Grande Italia" and the national laws on the financing of villages under 5,000 inhabitants. The challenge is to connect objective and perceptive aspects in an integrated and functional interpretation: an ideal mix of knowledge useful both to qualify the choices of territorial planning and to grasp the actual development potential offered by the aspects.
Professor at the University of Siena for 17 years, then lecturer at the Tito Sarrocchi Institute in Siena, today Councillor for Environment and Mobility of the Municipality of Poggibonsi.
