Roberto Ciappi

Mayor Comune di San Casciano in Val di Pesa

Born in Florence in 1981. I have always lived in San Casciano in Val di Pesa.

I graduated from the Technical Institute with pilot project in administration, finance and marketing, but from a very young age I started working as a silversmith. I was immediately fascinated by the transformation of raw material into art and for many years I dedicated myself to the study of technique, making my work one of my greatest passions.

At the end of the 1990s my political experience in the San Casciano community began.

In 2000 I joined the provincial organisation of the Youth Left, where I remained until 2004, the year of my election as City Councillor for the Left Democrats, a role I held until 2009.

In 2009 I was appointed councillor in the Pescini council with delegations to Public Works, Associations, Popular Celebrations, Events and Festivals, Civil Protection and Urban Decor. A role I held until 2019, when I was elected Mayor of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, a position I still hold today.
