Paolo Pomponi, born in Montaione (Florence) on 20 June 1964.
Since 1986 he has been employed at the Cassa di Risparmio di San Miniato, today Crédit Agricole Italia, where he spent his entire career in the General Management in the administrative and risk management areas.
From 2004 to 2009 Councillor for Public Works and Sport of the Municipality of Montaione.
From 2009 to 2014 Councillor for Public Works and Budget and Finance of the Municipality of Montaione.
Elected to the office of Mayor of Montaione in the municipal elections of 25 May 2014 with 76.2% and reconfirmed in the elections of 26 May 2019 with 84.8%.
Tourism Delegate for the Union of the District Municipalities Empolese Valdelsa and contact person for the Empolese Valdelsa Montalbano Tourism Area.
