Massimiliano Vavassori

Massimiliano Vavassori is Director of Institutional Relations and of the Study Center of the Italian Touring Club. Having obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Pavia in 1995, he then completed a Master’s degree in economics and management of tourism businesses at the Ciset of Venice in 1997. He has participated in numerous projects in the tourism and cultural heritage sector in Italy and abroad: among these the reception plan for the great Jubilee of 2000, the global subsidy "Literary Parks" and some of the EU Commission’s research and development programs in the field of sustainable tourism. Other experience has been gained with the World Bank and recently with the FAO for the tourism development of two areas of Vietnam. In 2011, he was a reviewer of the OECD study on tourism in Italy. In 2015 he was a member of the TDlab, the ministerial committee for the digitalization of tourism-Mibact.
