Ester Tamasi

Ester Tamasi, born in 1982, obtained a degree in Tourism Sciences in 2006 at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Molise, the first degree course of its kind in Italy that obtained the Tourism Education Quality (TEDQUAL) certification, allowing the University of Molise to become an affiliate member of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

In addition to her academic qualification, Ester Tamasi attended specialization and advanced training courses in the tourism sector in Austria and the United States and obtained a Master’s in Management, Controlling and Marketing of Tourist Enterprises in Rome.

The experience with Malta Tourism Authority began in 2009 in the start-up phase of the Italian office, where Ester played the role of the only figure, together with the Director of Southern Europe, taking care of all the tasks necessary for the start-up phase. In recent years Ester Tamasi’s work has been fundamental for the start-up and consolidation of the partner network in Italy and, having also dealt with advertising planning with a constant and careful study of trends, she has been the advocate of the development of the destination and of the construction of the image that Malta has earned in the eyes of the market over the years.

Since 2017 Ester Tamasi has also dealt with the launch on the Italian market of the Conventions Malta brand, the internal agency of Malta Tourism Authority which has been developed with the aim of promoting the Maltese islands as an ideal destination for travel related to the MICE sector and of becoming an active member of Meeting Professional International (MPI) Italy.
