Director Accademia del Turismo - Fondazione Campus di Lucca
She is a full Professor of Geography at the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Pisa with courses on Geography and Geopolitics; she also teaches Geography of Tourism at the Campus Foundation in Lucca, where she holds the position of Director of the Academy of Tourism.
Technical-scientific coordinator of European research projects, she is currently President of the Regional Technical-Scientific Committee of the ITS TAB Foundation ("Tourism, Art and Cultural Heritage"), as well as Director of the Executive Master’s in the Management of the Development of Territorial Tourism (organized by the Italian Touring Club and the Campus Foundation in Lucca).
Among the numerous institutional positions, she is a member of the Scientific Committee of Associazione Europa Vie Francigene (AEVF) and of the Scientific Committee of Associazione Romea Strata (AERS); starting from 2019, she has also held the role of Advisory Board for BTO (Buy Tourism Online), with which she also collaborated on the creation of the "Digital Ecosystems" format.
Author of about a hundred articles and several books, she has participated, as a speaker, in countless Italian and international conferences (in particular, the National Conventions of AGEI and the International Conventions and the Regional Conferences of IGU).
