CEO Restworld

Luca Lotterio, born in 1993 in the Roman suburbs, immediately became interested in the world of social relations, sales and networking, dedicating himself to psychology studies at the University of La Sapienza. He got a second degree in Work Psychology in Torino and he spent some years studying and working in the catering sector in Italy, Romania, Spain and Scotland: his degree thesis was about catering and human resources.

His short but intense career in catering, which began in Edinburgh 6 years ago as a runner, continued to develop in Torino by working as a freelancer in various places, and then as a manager of the dining room and as manager of the business for two seasonal openings: by the sea, Terracina (LT) and in the high mountains, Acceglio (CN).



After numerous challenges and participations in events (International Training Center, winner of the Techstars StartUp Weekend and finalist in the Digiedu Hack competition of EIT Food), he decided, together with his long-time colleague Davide Lombardi and partners Lorenzo D’Angelo and Edoardo Conte, to found the Restworld startup, in February 2020 in Torino.


The company aims at helping thousands of people and places to meet and start fruitful working collaborations together, all via a matching platform. A particular focus is placed on the entrepreneur training regarding human resources and the creation of healthy and positive work environments.


With Restworld, Luca Lotterio and his colleagues built a database that boasts the search and selection history of over 450 places, and to date they have outlined over 30,000 people in the sector. This volume of data, combined with in-depth market research regarding the Horeca and HR sector, has allowed Luca Lotterio and the members of his team to accumulate an enormous amount of know-how on the subject and to promptly provide practical pieces of advice and opportunities to the owners of the eating and drinking places belonging to their network, especially in the areas of research, selection, onboarding and retention of talents.
